- Victim witness assistance program- this program offers support and other services to victims that have been physically and psychologically scared by sexual assault, kidnapping, domestic violence and aggravated assault.
- Community watch- this program is to make criminals alert and conscious that they are being watch, reported to the police, and arrested.
- D.A.R.E- is a community program that consists of officers going into local schools to teach and prevent the use of drugs among youths.
- Carteret County Domestic Violence Program- this programs goal is to stop domestic violence and create safe housing for families. They do this by providing emergency assistance, referral information, court advocacy, hospital accompaniment, transportation help, and a twenty-four hour crisis line.

- The Commission on Accreditation For law Enforcement Agency (CALEA Accreditation) – this program was establish in 1979 and its main goal is to uphold and preserve the standards of law enforcement agencies, although it is not currently mandatory.
- Citizens Police Department- the main goal of this program is to build a stronger connection between the community and the Morehead KY Police Department.
- Crime Stoppers- this program priority is to get criminals of the streets with the help of the community. They do this by offering rewards for information about criminal activities, and every person that calls is given the choice of remaining anonymous and not testifying in court if the criminal is caught, arrested and persecuted.
- School Resource Officers- the resource officers of this program are assigned to work on schools to prevent unwanted and dangerous situations from arising between students and teachers, and among student against student.
- Special Olympic Law Enforcement Torch Run- this program was created in 1986 and its main goal is to raise money for the Special Olympics North Carolina (SONC). The funds are raised by law enforcement officers who take part in this run, and since 1986 the torch run has raised more than 3.2 million dollars for SONC.
